Solidarity with the P&O workers
P&O’s sacked workers are entitled to full solidarity:
If you can get to it, join the RMT rally at Parliament, Monday 1430.
Share this story of how agency seafarers who were hired to replace sacked P&O staff at Cairnryan refused to work: “I knew a lot of people on board that were going to be losing their jobs and that just didn't sit right with me. When we realised the RMT were involved and this was a big union dispute, we didn't want to be part of that. To us, boarding that ship was like crossing a picket line."
Follow the affected unions - RMT and Nautilus - for updates and other actions.
Share the unions’ arguments. Both unions have set out their demands. RMT has published its plan to protect jobs, services and basic employment standards here. Nautilus has written to the government today with a six key demands. Read it here.
